Explore Indialantic Restaurants, Beaches & Shops in Florida

Do you love the beachy vibe of Cocoa Beach, but not a fan of the crowds? Indialantic is just 30 minutes south, and has lots of affordable restaurants, cute shops and beautiful beaches.

Where is Indialantic Florida?

Indialantic Florida is on the Space Coast of Florida. It’s east of Downtown Melbourne Florida on Route 192, until you cross A1A. Or 30 minutes south of Cocoa Beach on A1A, or 40 minutes north of Vero Beach.

Indialantic Beaches

The only downside to the Indialantic Beaches is the parking. You’ll need to pay for parking at either beach. The good news is they now use parking apps, so you don’t have to run back and forth to a meter. If you are considering parking at one of the shopping center lots near the beach, I’d be cautious. There are signs saying you will be towed.

  • James H. Nance Park is located where 192 meets A1A, plus there’s a children’s playground. It’s located next to Bizzarro’s and other dining and shopping.
  • Sunrise Park is north on A1A across from Publix. This beach sets you up nicely for stopping at Moo’s for Ice Cream. 🙂

If you want to park for free, head south on A1A, south of Melbourne Beach. You’ll be about 10-15 minutes away from Indialantic restaurants, so make sure to plan ahead with your food and drinks for your beach stay.

Indialantic Restaurants

There are quite a bit of restaurants in Indialantic, and most of them are locally owned. Not all of the restaurants in Indialantic are listed. I’ve only put them on this list if I’ve dined there. I noted which ones I feel you’ll need a reservation at as well.

I added a cost Key, so you can expect what you’ll spend at each Indialantic restaurant.

  • $ – Less than $15 per person
  • $$ – $16-$25 per person
  • $$$ – $26-50 per person
  • $$$$ – expect over $50 per person

Breakfast or Lunch in Indialantic

  • Surfinista $ – Smoothie bowls, avocado toast and other yummy healthy food choices.
  • Blueberry Muffin $$ – A short drive North on A1A. Huge selection of traditional breakfast and lunch choices. I’m a fan of their blueberry muffins, they aren’t too sweet and you can choose a muffin instead of toast with most of their menu options.
  • Beachside Cafe $ – Good diner like selection, decent prices.

Lunch in Indialantic

  • Bizzarro’s Famous New York Pizza $ – being a New Yorker I was skeptical that their pizza would be good. But it is better than good! Slices are ginormous and the pizza is authentically New York style and tasty.
  • Long Doggers $ / $$ – I thought for sure I wouldn’t like it here, because I don’t like hot dogs. (insert your eye-roll here) But low and behold the Long Dogger’s menu offers more than hot dogs! They have salad, wings, chicken, burgers and more.

Happy Hour or Dinner in Indialantic

  • Islands Fish Grill $$$$ – Love fish? This is a great “date night” place. Be sure to make a reservation to dine here and save room for dessert.
  • Beachside Seafood $$ – a less pricey fish restaurant option, but you need to drive North on A1A a bit. Their key lime pie is Mike approved too. 😉
  • Skewers Mediterranean Grill $$$ – delicious Mediterranean food such as Baba Ghanouj, Stuffed Grape Leaves, Mousakhan, Mjadara and the like. Make a reservation to ensure you get a table.
  • Copperhead Tavern $$ – features a pretty outside area with firepits. Good pub food with a large drink selection. They are open until midnight which is pretty late around here.
  • Villa Palma Restaurant $$$ – one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to, not in Florida mind you, anywhere. Make a reservation, and get ready to enjoy an authentic Italian dinner and service.

Indialantic Shops

I’m not a big shopper, so this list is going to be very short. Hah, hah apologies in advance.

  • The Longboard House – is a well known surf-shop with a huge selection of boards, sunglasses and a full line of beach wear.
  • The Paddleboard House – is the East Coast’s largest paddleboard shop. Not sure you’ll like paddleboarding? No worries, you can rent one before buying.
  • The Cottage Rose – a small consignment shop. My kids love to thrift and they liked it.

Staying in Indialantic

We haven’t stayed overnight in a hotel or Bed and Breakfast in Indialantic – but there are a few places we’ve driven by. Port D’Hiver is in nearby Melbourne Beach. It looks amazing and would be perfect if you want to spoil yourself or the one you love. Check Expedia for deals if your dates are flexible.

For a lot less per night, around $140 + taxes, look into Indialantic Hotels Ocean Front Paradise Resort. It has a private beach, but no daily housekeeping.

I hope after reading this you’ll consider Indialantic as your Space Coast beach vacation destination. It’s a great place to unplug, relax and enjoy the beach, sun and surf. If you have an Indialantic restaurant or shop to recommend, leave a comment below so I can check it out.
