Leeds NY Restaurants and Shops

(Last updated May 29, 2025)

Leeds is a small hamlet of Catskill, New York that has a small business area with restaurants, a coffee shop, bakery, and an antiques center. It’s less than a 10 minute drive from Main Street Catskill, and easy to get to from NY Thruway Exit 21. (Turn right instead of left.)

Leeds NY Restaurants

For a small New York hamlet, Leeds offers quite a few restaurants. We’ve been to all of them, since we live nearby. To help you choose, I added a cost Key, so you can expect what you’ll spend at each Leeds NY restaurant.

  • $ – $15 or less per person
  • $$ – $16-$25 per person
  • $$$ – $26-50 per person
  • $$$$ – expect over $50 per person

Breakfast and Lunch in Leeds NY

  • Lindsay’s $ – with a cute retro diner atmosphere and friendly servers, this is one of our favorites for breakfast or lunch. Reasonably priced, locals consistently nominate (and award) Lindsay’s in a few of the food categories of The Best of Greene County. My go to is their Caprese Chicken sandwich pictured below.
  • Gracie’s Luncheonette $$ – enjoy local sourced scratch-made food and baked goods with beautiful views of the Catskill Creek. It’s popular so if this is a must-see call to reserve a table and I recommend asking to sit at a table with a view of the Creek.

Lunch and Dinner in Leeds NY

  • Inn at Leeds $$ – a good choice for lunch or dinner, especially if you desire comfort food like burgers, pizza and wings. They also have entrees if you’re looking for a larger meal and a full bar.
  • Barnwood $$ – reasonably priced and homemade this lunch and dinner spot is not only rated #1 on TripAdvisor, its a local favorite. Quick, friendly service and consistently delish food with daily specials. Known for their fried chicken, the menu features salads, burgers, pizza and entrees. If you like beer and cider – they have over 25 on tap including local craft brews.

Dinner in Leeds NY

  • Piccolo Trattoria $$$ – this authentic Italian restaurant open features excellent service and delicious meals along with a full bar. It’s a perfect place for a date night or gathering with friends. Make sure to reserve a table in advance, it becomes booked out often. I have reserved on the link from their Google listing and that worked perfectly.
  • Casa Susanna $$$$ – this trendy restaurant offers a unique take on Mexican food. If you like interesting dishes and are a foody looking for an experience, this would be a place not to miss. You’ll spend about $50-100 per person, and it’s not “Tex-Mex” food. If interested, I would make a reservation well in advance on resy, because it is a destination restaurant, serving Dinner and weekend Brunch.
